Swedish piano makers and factories
This list was begun in 1977 within the scope of the research project The Swedish Piano, initiated by the piano technician Conny Carlsson and the musicologist Eva Helenius. Its aim was to research, describe, preserve and distribute information and knowledge of Swedish keyboard instrument culture. Since 1998 this work forms the core of the mission of the Klaverens Hus. The list reports of known piano makers and factories so far (thus masters and makers but not yet workers). In brackets are first given years of life if known, thereafter times of activities and production. If there is one information of time it refers to the work.
Swedish alphabetisation has been used in this list, with the letters Å, Ä, Ö placed at the end after Z.
